Senior Systems Engineer / Team Lead to the Systems Department, Asia-Pacific Zone

POSITION SUMMARY

A very challenging Senior Systems Engineer / Team Lead position working under the Systems Department with a dynamic and rapidly expanding multi-national IT solutions and services company.

The Senior Systems Engineer / Team Lead is responsible for ensuring smooth operations of the Systems Department, covering the Helpdesk and Systems both front and back office operations to ensure that the SLA and client expectations are met.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the company in managing and directing the formulations of the IT infrastructure development plans and the delivery of infrastructure projects to ensure that the company maintain a scalable, and flexible IT infrastructure to support the operations.
  • Lead, manage and mentor the internal and outsourced engineer about the MATADOR support /escalation procedures and protocols to ensure smooth operations.
  • Act as the first point of contact for client complains, inquiries and other IT related support requirements.
  • Provide technology and technical advice and counsel to Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) and users across the organization for preparations of proposal and initial data gathering with the prospective and existing clients.
  • Ensures timely dispatch of Engineer for ad-hoc and maintenance schedule.
  • Provide technical support to client in the event of engineer shortage.
  • Entertain candidate’s interview for systems department and clients outsourcing requirements.
  • Liaise with Vendor for both client and in-house IT requirements.
  • Responsible for project management, delivery and management of solutions.
Requirements:
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Must have at least 3 years of Team Lead experience in an MNC environment.
  • Project Management Skills both in Systems and Network technology.
  • Able to liaise with vendor for IT related requirements.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Customer and service oriented (must be patient and is a good listener).
  • Team player with ability to work independently and with initiative.
  • Posses good hands on skills in Microsoft, Cisco, HP, IBM, Lenovo, Dell, McAfee, Norton, Symantec and other leading hardware and software vendor.
  • Certification in any of the above mentioned technology.
  • Ability to promote a learning environment and be responsible for the coaching and mentoring of team members.
 EDUCATION
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or any other related field.
