Business Support Analyst - 2 years contract
(Singapore)
Responsibilities:
Job Purpose
To support a strategic point-of-sales system in a key business support analyst role. The incumbent should have experience in the insurance domain, strong team player yet independent worker and possess project management and business analysis skills.
 Job Scope
1. Project support & execution
  • Perform the business support analyst role for a strategic project of medium complexity and scale
  • Work closely with IT project team and internal stakeholders to ensure timely & successful system delivery
2. Business analytics
  • Document business direction, structure, business processes and requirements
  • Interact internally to determine involvement, requirements, analysis and interfaces with the users.
  • Assist in the collection and consolidation and analyze required information and data
  • Participate in the definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of processes and systems.
  • Identify areas of potential business risk and communicate these to the business.
  • Validate and report production errors to IT for resolution. Work with IT to ensure timely and successful resolution of production errors.
3. Project communication
  • Manage and implement project communication to corporate staff and agency end-users relating to system enhancements, production errors, scheduled and ad hoc system downtimes
  • Manage email enquiries by providing prompt responses to end-users, and channeling or escalating enquiries to appropriate parties where first-level response is not possible.
  • Develop promotional materials and implement effective promotional activities to create awareness and increase system adoption rate.
  • Prepare and submit project and budget reports
Requirements:
  • A good degree from a recognized university, preferably in one of the following areas: information technology, computer science, finance or related disciplines
  • Self-motivated, independent but yet a team player who is able to work with people from all levels and disciplines
  • Possess knowledge and experience in gathering requirements, functional design, and working with business processes.
  • Able to perform with a moderate level of guidance and direction.
  • Able to solve a range of straightforward problems and analyze possible solutions using standard procedures.
  • Able to handle pressure, multi-task and work within tight schedules
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in MS Office and high IT literacy
  • Working experience in a project management and/or business analysis role in the insurance sector in Singapore would be an advantage
